About Barbra

My happiest memories are working with children, playing my guitar, and instilling a love for Judaism.

My mission is speaking about the importance, value  and meaning of Hebrew Names and asking these questions:

“Who were you named after? Why? What does this name mean? What qualities will it bring forth in you?”

My professional career includes Jewish Community Centers in Pennsylvania and California, Yavneh Day School Assistant Principal (Los Gatos, Ca), School Chorus Leader, and Hebrew School Teacher.

I was chosen to lead the first Teen Mission to Israel for the Palo Alto Jewish Community with a generous grant from Jack Tramiel. Other trips to Israel include volunteering with SAR-EL, Federation Missions, and Aish Ha-Torah “Gem” Trip.

A solopreneur at heart, I launched “Start from Scratch Social Marketing” in 2010, offering education, implementation, presentations, and social media management.

As a Certified COACH for families in conflict, I also facilitate groups, teach classes, and present webinars.
